About Heavenly Finance
Heavenly Finance publishes written guides on the money decisions that are easiest to get wrong: Medicare, Social Security, wills and estates, taxes in retirement, fraud, and everyday money. The things that are genuinely confusing, and where a bad guess is expensive.
Why we exist
Most money writing is either written for people who already understand it, or written to sell something. These guides are the third thing: an explanation of how the rules actually work, so you can walk into an appointment knowing what to ask.
How the site pays for itself
The guides are free to read. The site carries advertising supplied by an advertising network, labelled wherever it appears. No bank, broker or insurer pays to appear in a guide, and none can. Advertising never decides what a guide says, which topics are covered, or which figures are quoted. The advertising disclosure has the detail.
How the guides are written and checked
Every number in every guide traces to a primary source: the agency's own pages, the statute, the regulation or the court decision, with the current year's official figures from ssa.gov, medicare.gov, cms.gov or irs.gov. Each guide lists those sources with the date they were checked, and carries an update history saying what changed and when. Where a rule varies by state, we say so instead of giving you the federal answer and leaving it there. The full method is on the editorial standards page.
We publish under the Heavenly Finance name rather than a personal byline. Every figure is checkable against the government page it came from, and we publish the date we checked it. If a figure does not match its source, tell us and we will correct it, note the change in that guide's history, and log it on the corrections page.
We are not financial advisers and this is not financial advice. It is an explanation of how the rules work, so you can make your own decision or ask a professional a sharper question.
What we will never do
- We will never sell, rent or share your personal information.
- We will never ask for your Social Security number, a bank login or a card number.
- We will never phone you.
- We will never take a commission or referral fee from a company named in a guide.
- We will never use countdown timers or fake scarcity.
